Frulla Grove and Family

On a warm summer evening in 1944, the Frulla family signed on the dotted line to purchase the original 25 acres of an old olive grove in Corning, California. A loving bunch of Sicilian transplants to California, Donnabella and Goffredo Frulla knew if they were to build a bright future for their family, they must stay true to their roots — harvesting olives.

  • Before long, Donna, Goffredo, and their three children were tending approximately 150 acres of Sevillano and Manzanillo olives in Northern California’s olive region — the small town of Corning — affectionately dubbed, The Olive City.

Soon enough, four generations of olive farmers, producers, blenders, and tasters had dedicated their lives to harvesting perfectly ripe, California-grown extra virgin olive oil. It’s the Frulla family's mission to bring you certified, flavorful, fresh extra virgin olive oil from the minerally-dense soils of Northern California.

For nearly six decades, Frulla olives have consistently placed Best in Show at the California State Fair. In 2002, 200 acres of new olive orchards were planted adjacent to the original Frulla groves. The family purchased an olive mill and upgraded their milling practice to create a premium extra virgin olive oil. Thus, the Frulla brand was reborn.

Today, Donnabella and Goffredo’s great-granddaughter and her husband, Susanna Frulla and Jack Bries, work with 25 local residents to run the company, including over 500 acres of olive trees. Together, we farm and mill 12 olive varieties for premium extra virgin olive oil for the Frulla brand. We hope you enjoy the product of our family’s passion. From our farm to your table, we wish you buon appetito!
